Wow, this sight is amazing. What an awesome way to honor Sam. I watched the news and saw the FBI building being named in Sam's honor. It surely is an honor just to have known Sam. What everyone has done over the last year has been nothing short of amazing.

I am so sorry this family had to go through such a tragic thing. Agent Hicks looked like a wonderful man who loved his family. I pray God has granted his family peace and comfort and that there broken hearts are healing with time. Thank you for sharing your photos and story on on a special man.

I went to school with Sam ever since Elementary School. I graduated with him from Southmoreland in 1993. Sam was great. I still can't believe something so tragic could happen to such a good person. My thoughts are with the family and I think about him often.

Sam you have touched many hearts. You will be missed, but not forgotten. He who wears the badge is forever in our hearts.

Brother Hicks now rests in that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Go not like the quarry slave, scourged to his dungeon, but approach thy grave like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams.

You have undoubtedly shed light onto those with whom you have traveled along life's pathway...

Rest peacefully, brother.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Sam at UPJ and I was stunned to hear of this tragedy. No words will help ease your pain, but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

It's so hard to find the words to comfort those that lose the most precious jewels we have, our families. My prayer for you is that your heart and soul will be restored with joy, and that your memories of your husband will always bring a smile to your face as you see your son grow into a fine young man, just like his father.

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I run the Columbiana County Families of Homicide Victims over here in Ohio and was actally talking to a friend from the BCI when the call came in about your husband. It is such a tragic thing and I pray that your family will be okay and come threw this alright. I know that a loss like this will never be easy and I hope you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Belinda
